The senior Mister Lee is an upstanding member of society and a rather esteemed philanthropist. The junior Mister Lee is a character all on his own, and while I don't blame you for those thoughts, has a house that I'm not convinced doesn't have secret passages behind the book cases.

[He takes a swallow of his own in turn. For a minute, Hiro's memory of the fire burns in his mind, still all too fresh from the dive into his brother's mind. He rubs at his forehead, starting to feel his head swimming a bit now.]

[They need to change the subject. He needs to change the subject because that memory is too fresh and hot in his mind and he can't bring himself to talk about it just yet.]

There's a, uh. An import community training facility being built now. I'm considering volunteering to help with some of it.

Oh? Well, considering how you pushed me at this place, I'm more than happy to list reasons why that's not a bad idea.

Yeah. I mean - they need people to help develop training rooms for all types of powers, so that's what some of us are best at. And help setting up a first aid center for all of it too.

[Ding ding, what got his attention for it in the first place. He has these healing abilities, he should be using them, why not volunteering to help his peers?]

I think it'll be a really good place for people that can't enroll here.

[bam. Callaghan tilts his glass towards Tadashi, any part of his mind that wasn't made up...well. now made up.]

I think that's an excellent point and that it'd be a good way to indulge your own philanthropy. There's never a surplus of people willing to help, and you'd be doing it for the right reasons - which is all the more important.

As opposed you taking up this position for any wrong reasons?

[He eyes Callaghan carefully over his glass; he knew damn well what he was encouraging Callaghan to do taking up this spot and what it'd mean. He anticipated his brother being angry but not the influence in his mind making it worse than it should've been. All the same: the students here needed a school and place to live, Callaghan needed a source of positive influence and feedback. It worked out, as far as Tadashi was concerned.

The Nonah facility wouldn't be much different for Tadashi.]

I'd already known I was going to do it, just. A lot of stuff got in the way to slow me down. But nothing was going to stop me, y'know.

Or me not taking it, as the case may have been. [such as him being consumed with his own guilt, which...is present, and will probably always - should probably exist for whatever reasons, but as his daughter herself would say...shouldn't stop him from going where he was needed.]

I'm glad to hear that. You know, you could take Desmond there, have him test out whatever this place has given him.

[He sips at his drink as he thinks that over. What kind of powers would the porter have given Wasabi? From what Gogo had said, it had counted the suit Hiro made her as a power, so who knows.]

Probably not a bad idea, actually. Safe, contained environment would help him ease into it. He'd be able to appreciate that, I think.

He could also help you spot any potential problems before they become problems. He's got an impressive eye for detail.

Of course. It's how we've always done it.

[Man, thinking more about it, he really did miss Wasabi being around. He evened things out. Maybe it could ease some of the tension between him and Gogo for a while until they settled their disagreement.

Of course that line of thinking only brings back the problem at hand and what he's trying to not think about. Tadashi moves to hold his glass between both hands, elbows rested on his knees as he thinks.]

...Hey. Now that we're here, I don't... What should I call you?

[Callaghan really isn't his professor anymore, and 'Robert' feels a bit too informal, but 'Mr. Callaghan' feels too formal. Best just to ask.]

because he's already doing it for his so he may as well, right?]

...well, what would you call someone else of my age? Assuming you had their full name.

[He blinks a little at the top off but. Well. Whatever, it's Callaghan's scotch.

But he smiles a bit tiredly at that.]

... My aunt would encourage me to say Mr. Callaghan.

And are you comfortable with that?

[he leans back, tilting his head in query]

I honestly don't mind if you call me Robert; I've had students who call me that after they graduate, and I have some who still call me 'Professor'. Once you're out in the world...it's not the same as it is in the classroom, you have to know that by now.

[He mulls that option over, head tilting to one side. 'Robert'. No... 'Mr. Robert'? Even less. Tadashi eventually shakes his head.]

I dunno. I'll figure it out, if you don't like whatever I end up calling you, say no.

I doubt it, unless it's a straight-up insult. Or 'Doctor'. I've always hated that title- makes me think I should wear a stethoscope.

I know some professors around campus would get mad if you didn't call them 'doctor'. Worked hard for that title and all, you know?

But glad to know I can cross that one off the list.

Technically, so did I...but like I said, I feel like I should wear a stethoscope. And the one time I did take a hard look at medical science...

[he chuckles a bit]

I could barely wrap my head around it. I was impressed, to say the least, with how you utilized it with Baymax. Certainly not something I could have done.

[He rubs at the back of his neck with his free hand, takes another sip of his drink before just setting the glass - nearly full - down on his side of the table.]

Helped that I had someone to help me figure it out growing up when I was a kid.

[Callaghan's been steadily nursing his own, though he feels like he's been doing most of the talking. but maybe he just needs to encourage Tadashi to talk a bit.]

[He keeps his eyes down, trained on the rim of his glass and the way the light bounces off it.]

My, uh. My parents. My father, mostly. Both worked at the hospital, but dad, he... Always talked a lot about medical advances.

[Actually, he feels better having that glass in his hands, just so his fingers have something to do, hold onto while he talks.]

Always went to conferences and came back with pamphlets and books about new things coming in the field.

And your mother? What did she do there?

Nursing. Phlebotomist, mostly, but trained on a lot of stuff.
