De Chima. [and he gives an address; it's at a storage unit-slash-small-warehouse. the sort you can rent without too much trouble, so long as you have the paperwork and funds.] My workshop.

[He scouts the area surrounding the storage unit searching for any red flags. He finds none, for now. Still, he's cautious and uses his invisibility to enter the workshop without anyone seeing him. If the Professor proved to be a valuable asset, he didn't want any reason to connect them for the time being.]

[it's neatly organized; boxes stocked on shelves, clearly labeled with what may actually be the opposite of what's inside...or make no sense at all. whatever filing system Callaghan uses, he appears to be taking a certain degree of care with it.

Locus may or may not note that there's a sensor on the door. invisible he may be, but it gives Robert - wearing what looks like some sort of bluetooth - the briefest of pauses, and then he continues to work on his 'tinker-toy' at a worktable. it looks like some sort of bracer.]

[The sensors at the door don't go unnoticed by him but he's not trying to hide his presence from the Professor. Once inside, he drops his invisibility and heads further inside when he catches the sound of tinkering ahead. It's not long before he enters what he deems his workshop.]

Professor.

[and he looks up, pushing up what looks like a pair of jeweler's glasses. very useful for when you're working with small pieces, and his hands are more than steady enough to handle that sort of detail...]

Locus. What've you brought me?

[His arm reaches back and he unlocks the sniper rifle from the holder attached to his armor. The tail end of the handle is damaged from a bullet that that went through it but more importantly, shrapnel from the shot damaged one the scopes making it basically useless.]

Can you fix it?

[definitely not something to work on at Xavier's. Callaghan makes a thoughtful look and a gesture for Locus to hand it over. ]

Let me have a look. Anything I should know about it?

[he wants to make sure the safety's on, of course, but also that there's no other damage than what he can see.]

Of course.

[He hands the sniper over, but it's not light at 40 lbs it can take down a small aircraft trading in lightness for power.]

The scope is irreplaceable.

[With the state of technology of this planet, Locus would find himself hard pressed to replace the specialized scope that cost him a small fortune.]

Fair enough. Mind me asking what the year of it is? [just to help him get a feel for how advanced it is. oh, he saw some tech in the military- worked on some- but this is a bit more than that. still...

he's optimistic and cautious. as well as clearly familiar with a gun; he's slow and methodical, ensuring that the connections are stable as much as he can without turning it on. that there's no shorts, power issues, or anything of the like]

I'll have to invoice for parts- might need some up front to get what I need, but I can think of a few materials that'll work for repair. I can't promise it'll be exactly like it was fresh off the line.

[He prats off a number somewhere in the mid-25th century. A date a little further along than most people here, he's noticed.]

I need it in working order. I don't expect a clean finish with the technology here.

[Robert takes it without any surprise. it only confirms his suspicions. still, he's optimistic, and sets it down.]

You mind if I keep it for a day or two while I make sure of what I need? I'll pitch the parts list to you, then we'll go from there.
