[He probably should have waited a bit longer, honestly. Callaghan might not even be conscious yet, but he can't hold himself back any longer. Especially after watching Bruce have a seizure in the Systema class barely an hour after Callaghan's heart attack, Kotetsu's nerves are especially frayed.]

[he's out when Kotetsu sends it. in fact, he's out for a few hours more, waking up with a start. the Russians, however, are not skimping on treatment; there's someone at his side in moments, calmly informing him what happened, bringing him up to speed, informing him he'll be staying in the clinic for a while, checking his readouts and asking if he needs anything...

it'd be calming if the accent wasn't, by now, enough to prickle under his skin. he takes it all in, and when they leave, leans back and closes his eyes again.]

[He does wait for Callaghan's reply, for awhile. But it's so dark and quiet in his house and this week has definitely given him a reason to be averse to dark and quiet for awhile, and ultimately he can't take it anymore and goes off to Barnaby's to get wasted off his ass. He's...thoroughly hung over the next morning, which sucks, but at least he doesn't need to drag his ass to the seminar today. He fetches his comm blearily, but awareness comes sharply when he sees the ID on the text.]

id bring you the sake at least but im pretty sure the nurse would hand me my ass on a platter

[They're not particularly close, beyond the professional, and Callaghan's always been the solitary sort, so he hopes the sentiment doesn't make him uncomfortable. He does mean it, though. After what happened...he had trouble focusing on anything, the rest of that evening. Even got shocked more during that bias test--less from defiance this time, and more out of just not being able to concentrate.]
