[have a heavy exhale. that alone is a 'yes', and Callaghan's quiet for a moment before speaking again.]

Do you know how much is true?

I don't. Tried talking to him about it, and he didn't deny anything, though. [And those kinds of accusations aren't the kind he can imagine someone brushing off like that if they were false.] Just got pretty flippant and rude about the whole thing.

Getting on his case about the past while he's here'd be pointless, but we're gonna need to watch him, I think.

No...I agree. [he exhales slowly] I'll see if I can get a sense of how his head works and how much we'll need to observe. Until he pulls something here I'm inclined to give him the benefit of the doubt, but if we can stop something before it starts...

Yeah. I mean, usually we don't get warnings until the proof's already in the pudding, so if we could use this heads-up to actually keep Kavinsky on the straight and narrow, that'd be pretty great.

I'll keep an eye on 'im too. Try to get to know 'im, as far as he'll let me.

I worked with him, back...the other month. [during the occupation.] He's clever, and if you can appeal to making him realize it's smart to work with you as opposed to against you, that may be your way in.

Man, I talked to 'im a couple times before all this came out, and I'm half convinced if one of us told 'im to go out and commit a buncha crimes he'd keep his nose clean just outta spite.
