Regarding the school, we're still in talks, but I took a tour of the campus the other day.

Really, if I may be honest, it seems there are very few people in the imPort community who would make good educators. You're one of the exceptions.

[he chuckles dryly at that] You say that like I'm the only one here who's ever taught classes. That can't be the case.

You'd be surprised. A lot of people here are under the age of 25 and, while they might have helped out at summer camp or something like that, that doesn't make them qualified to teach.

Well, 'Headmaster' takes a lot of qualifications, either way. Just because I'm a few decades older than that doesn't necessarily mean I'm the best suited, but as I said- we're still talking.

Though I hadn't realized the school had its own recruiter.

It's hardly an official position—I'm volunteering. I simply want the children here to get the best education possible.

Have you had any luck talking with others, then, about joining the faculty?

Not as much as I would want. Still, I know I have so much more to do.

You and I both, but from the sounds of things, it was just in time. They directed me towards De Chima Polytechnic, but I'm not sure how many people here would appreciate a move- that, and I believe the thought was to give as many imPorts the first opportunity as possible.

The people who directed you to De Chima Polytechnic...was that the government?

It was. It's been relaxing, if nothing else.

That's refreshing to hear. All I know is that very few people are happy with the government's job assignments.

From what I hear, most move on quickly. If you don't mind me asking, what did they assign you?

Back home, I was the executive assistant for a multimillion dollar, international, technology company. The government decided the best fit for me here is to work at a burlesque.

I'll admit, I'm really not sure what to say about that.

Were you planning on staying there? I mean- if you're enjoying it, I've got no place to suggest otherwise [read; he ain't judging, bro] but there's always looking for other opportunities...

Obviously not. I've been job-searching ever since I arrived here.

You seem like you could find one, easily- is the market just that bad?

My problem is that I don't know where to start.

I haven't been job hunting in years, but it makes sense to me that you start with the basics. On the bright side, you already seem to know what you're good at, and I'm sure you've already gotten at least some sort of start- but you know, it might be worth it to touch base with anyone else who's gotten a new job, here. They could have some valuable advice.
